Mission Statement of the Bryson City Presbyterian Church

Mission Statement of the Bryson City Presbyterian Church

To serve and glorify God through prayer, worship, nurture, teaching, and discipleship within our community and in the world.  Our vision is to grow in grace.

Our scripture theme is:  "Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.  Amen."  Ephesioan 3:  20-21

The Bryson City Presbyterian Church is part of the Presbyterian Church USA.

The PCUSA includes about 10,000 congregations and can trace its history to the 16th century and the Protestant Reformation.

Being in the Reformed Tradition we believe...

  • that we are a fallen people in a fallen world in need of God's grace,
  • that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ,
  • that Scripture reveals God's grace in Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the majesty, holiness, and providence of God who creates, sustains, rules, and redeems the world in the freedom of sovereign righteousness and love,
  • that we are all called for service as well as salvation,
  • that we are part of a covenant family,
  • and that we are Stewards of God's gifts of creation.
